Creating a performance management review cycle

Introduction

Effective performance management is critical for organizational success. It aligns individual goals with company objectives, fosters employee development, and improves overall productivity. In this guide, we'll walk you through setting up a robust performance management cycle that ensures continuous improvement and engagement.

  1.  Navigate to Configure > Performance to being the setup process
  2.  Select the button that says “+ New performance review cycle”
  3.  Create a name for the cycle and select the date you would like the cycle to begin on. Leave the “Release reviews to employees” date blank for now. This can be filled in when/ if you choose to mass release reviews to employees.
  4.  Check the boxes next to each of the choices you would like to include in addition to the manager review:
    1.  Self-evaluation: The self evaluation will include an area for the employee to record notes in the same formatted template managers will be using in the review process
    2. Radiant AI risk analysis: This analysis will alert managers to anything that will show bias or discrimination within their review and prompt them to edit before releasing their review to the employee. 
    3. Overall summary: This option gives the manager a prompt to select or input a final summary for the employee. This summary can be given by free text entry, numerical selection, or a custom input of options.
    4. Tags: If you would like to limit the participants included in the review cycle you can do so by including tags in this field. Only employees with these tags will be included when the review cycle begins. This is a great way to test out the review process for a small group if needed.
  5.  A notification will automatically be set to go out on the cycles start date. To add reminder notifications click the “Add new notification” button and select a date for the notification to go out.
  6.  There is a built in default template that can be customized for your needs. This template will appear for each manager to use with each of their direct reports. The same template will also be used for employee self evaluations.
  7. Click “Save” to schedule the review cycle.
